Beginning and Ending.....
Last friday was move day. The movers came and packed up our apartment and loaded everything onto the truck for our move to Belton. This is a great way to do it, I tell ya. I recently sprained my ankle after falling wrong at jiu-jitsu class. I was hobbling around everywhere, and if I had to move and pack the apartment, it would be a slow and painful process.
Another chapter in our lives is coming to an end and a new one is beginning. We have lived in this apartment complex for the last 4 years and it is sad to leave, but we are very excited to begin our journey in Belton.

P90X...Bring It!!
Here is the workout calendar that we use to keep each other accountable and keep track of our progress. Look at all those X's!
It has definitely been challenging for both of us, but I have really like the variety of the workouts along with the ability to do them in our own home. The workouts are everything from Chest/back/abs to Yoga, Kenpo, Plyometrics and Core Synergistics. Since we live in an apartment, we can't do all of the exercises in our living room, so we have to do some of them on top of our parking garage. Here is a pic of us getting ready....we place Josh's laptop on the tail gate of his truck.
Even Rusty participates in the workouts. Here he is doing Yoga with me : )We still have 5 more weeks of the program to go, but we have been happy with the results so far. We have both seen improvements in our strength and stamina. As of week 8 we have both lost around 5 lbs!!!

Health News
As time prevailed, I worked hard to modify my lifestyle, and maintain a physically active routine, but genetics would turn out to be the gatekeeper of my lipid profile. The day would come when being a vegetarian and working out twice a day just wouldn't cut the mustard. Not that I have attempted those methods, but those were the next in line, if I were to advance my current eating and exercise habits. So when the results of an advanced lipid profile proved to deaden my natural methods of curtailing cholesterol, medicine it was. At 27 years old!
Without doubt, my most convincing reasons for starting medicine at this age, have to do with my medical knowledge, but more than anything, it is the idea of not being the best husband I can be to my loving wife. For us to have the successful and meaningful marriage we intend on having, I must remain healthy and preventive in terms of my medical standing.
